Curricula development (SUBF) (Level 4)

Contributes to curriculum development by selecting or specifying curriculum content for one or more specialist areas.

Trainer support (TMCR) (Level 4)

Responds effectively to wide ranging and detailed questioning from trainers/teachers who are using the materials.

Testing mechanisms (TMCR) (Level 4)

Sets up credible testing mechanisms to ensure the learning effectively supports student learning progression..

Learning environments (TMCR) (Level 4)

Assists with design, configuration and testing of learning environments, including population of simulated databases, and replication of external systems and interfaces.

Learning content production (TMCR) (Level 4)

Produces materials for courses in an open learning environment.

Design and development (TMCR) (Level 4)

Initiates, designs and writes new course materials within own area of technical specialisation(s) in response to changing demands and within any existing technical or policy framework. Responds to feedback by revising, editing, altering or modifying the training materials.

Practical work (ETDL) (Level 4)

Oversees students/learners in performing practical activities and work, advising and assisting where necessary, and ensuring that maximum learning benefit is gained from the practical experience

Learning delivery (ETDL) (Level 4)

Teaches, instructs and/or trains students/learners in order to develop knowledge, techniques and skills using appropriate methods, tools, online environments, equipment and materials. The students are likely to be of differing levels of ability and to have some understanding of the application of IT

Case studies and learning environments (ETDL) (Level 4)

Develops examples and case study material for use in pre-defined courses. Adapts simple course material to meet the needs of students.

Service promotion (ETMG) (Level 6)

Takes an active and on-going lead in the promotion of accessible learning and development activities available to internal or external customers, as appropriate, with specific focus on negotiating costs, benefits, commitments and delivery directly with senior line management/customers.

Learning resource management (ETMG) (Level 6)

Plays a major part in determining the structure and content of course schedules, or curricula and syllabuses, particularly in relation to costs and resources. Works with external and internal team members to ensure content is correct.

Learning content management (ETMG) (Level 6)

Identifies appropriate accreditation and qualification paths applicable to individuals within the organisation.

Learning management system (EMTG) (Level 5)

Plays a part in determining the structure and content of the corporate learning management system. Responsible for its implementation and day to day management.

Learning event scheduling (ETMG) (Level 5)

Arranges facilities and schedules with learning and development providers as appropriate

Learning delivery and support (ETMG) (Level 5)

Designs, develops and delivers learning opportunities and is able to adapt material as required to meet the needs of trainees.

Learning catalogue (ETMG) (Level 5)

Maintains, publicises and promotes a catalogue of learning and development activities. Ensures the catalogue is available to potential learners through appropriate media.

External providers (ETMG) (Level 5)

Sources and liaises with external development providers to meet requirements outlined in learning plans. Confirms content provided is suitable and relevant to the organisation and end users.

Service promotion (ETMG) (Level 7)

Leads in the promotion of accessible learning and development activities available to internal or external customers, as appropriate, with specific focus on negotiating costs, benefits, commitments and delivery directly with senior line management/customer.

Learning resource management (ETMG) (Level 7)

Secures organisational resources to execute the learning and development strategy.

Learning content management (ETMG) (Level 7)

Identifies opportunities for strategic relationships with suppliers and partners.

Learning management system (ETMG) (Level 6)

Plays a major part in determining the structure and content of the corporate learning management system particularly in relation to costs, coverage and resources.

Learning delivery and support (ETMG) (Level 6)

Takes an executive role in providing a structured, accessible and supportive environment both to learners and to the employing organisation. Provides advice and counselling focusing on career development and the development of appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Learning Catalogue (ETMG) (Level 6)

Leads the production of a catalogue of learning and development resources. Ensures the catalogue is effectively maintained, recognises and remains relevant to business needs, and is readily accessible.

External Providers (ETMG) (Level 6)

Reviews and approves external development providers to ensure budgetary, learning strategy, and policy conformity.

Learning records (ETMG) (Level 4)

Updates and controls learning records, including attainment of accreditations.

Learning management system (ETMG) (Level 4)

Maintains learning management system content.

Learning event scheduling (ETMG) (Level 4)

Books and organises learning events using designated internal or external providers, within agreed budgetary arrangements.

Case studies and learning environments (ETDL) (Level 2)

Assists in the preparation of learning environments.

Provides information on scheduled events and reserves places for individuals.

Detailed instructions and responses (ETDL) (Level 4)

Ability assessment (ETDL) (Level 4)

Assesses objectively, probably against pre-set criteria, the ability levels of students and reports as appropriate.

Learning delivery (ETDL) (Level 3)

Teaches, instructs, and/or trains students/learners in order to develop knowledge, techniques and skills using appropriate methods, tools, online environments, equipment and materials. The students may be of differing levels of ability and potentially have minimal experience of IT.
