As an Outreach Librarian you will deliver a high-quality, proactive and professional service.
Outreach Librarians work to ensure knowledge and library services are actively promoted across NHS organisations, working with Trust teams, providing inductions and attending organisational events. This includes responsibility for:
- Identifying the knowledge and evidence needs of Trust teams and departments to plan and development focused service offers.
- Conducting complex evidence searches to ensure that healthcare teams are basing service development decisions on evidence and examples of good practice to improve patient care.
- Designing and delivering library, information and research skills training to support evidence-based healthcare.
- Designing and delivering a tailored current awareness service to keep healthcare staff up to date with the latest research in their topic of interest.
