Summary

As an Evidence Specialist you will deliver a high-quality, proactive and professional service. Evidence Specialists ensure access to, and enable use of, research evidence to underpin evidence-informed decision making in the health service. Often embedded within a healthcare team or working within a function such as quality improvement, research or transformation they retrieve, synthesis and summarise evidence from multiple sources and present it in a decision-ready format to enable evidence-informed policy and practice.

Some of the tasks of an Evidence Specialist might include:

- Providing evidence-based information within clinical and non-clinical settings at the point of care and in multi professional meetings.

- Developing advanced search terms and AI prompts to retrieve information.

- Synthesising and summarising information from different sources to prepare rapid reviews of evidence.

- Critically evaluating evidence.

- Presenting information and evidence in easy-to-use formats.
